Aqara IP67 Water Immersing Sensor

The Aqara Water Leak Sensor (SJCGQ11LM) is a small Zigbee sensor designed to detect water at floor level and trigger alerts or automations through a compatible smart-home hub. Two contacts on the underside detect conductive water bridging the sensor, making it suitable for locations such as kitchens, bathrooms, utility areas and near appliances where leaks may occur.

The sensor communicates by Zigbee and does not connect directly to Wi‑Fi. A compatible Zigbee gateway is required for app notifications and automation. Legacy exact-product listings support use with Xiaomi Home / Mi Home in compatible Xiaomi/Aqara gateway setups, while Aqara’s current documentation lists Aqara Home and Apple Home support. Region and hub combinations can affect which app exposes the accessory.

The enclosure is rated IP67 for dust and water ingress protection. This rating helps the sensor tolerate the environment in which it is intended to detect leaks, but it should not be presented as a general-purpose submerged water-level probe.

The sensor uses a replaceable CR2032 battery and measures 50 × 50 × 15 mm. Official Aqara specifications list an operating range of -10°C to +55°C and 0–100% RH.
