Aqara Door and Window Sensor is a compact Zigbee contact sensor that reports open/closed state for doors and windows and can trigger smart-home alerts and automations.

The Aqara Door and Window Sensor uses a small sensor body and magnet to detect whether a door, window, cabinet or similar opening is closed. It is suited to security notifications as well as everyday automations such as switching lights, heating or ventilation when an opening changes state.

What it does

For the classic Aqara model documented by the manufacturer, the model code is MCCGQ11LM. It communicates over Zigbee, uses a CR1632 battery and measures 41 × 22 × 11 mm. Aqara specifies a maximum magnet separation of 22 mm for detection. A compatible Zigbee hub is required for connected automations and remote notifications.
